Motorhead

Of course, I must start this list with my band N°1, Motorhead. Legendary band which has successfully to create his kind of metal, very dynamic and powerful. Motörhead was the group that made me become a metalhead, a year before I discovered Lordi. The frontman and singer, Lemmy Kilmister, is one of my role models and mentors, and for me, he will remain one of the greatest rock singers of all time. Motorhead is one of bands like KISS and AC/DC, the legendary bands that will continue to make live their legend forever. I had the chance to see Motörhead in live, twice, and it remains one of the most beautiful moments of my life. Lemmy sadly passed away December 28, 2015, and the band is definitely stopped. It's with the heart ripped, destroyed, and eyes filled with tears I did my tribute and farewell to my idol, who I know will continue to make live his legend forever. Because they are Motörhead, and they play Rock N Roll!

Airbourne

Australian band founded in 2003 by two brothers, Joel O'Keeffe (vocals and guitar) and Ryan O'Keeffe (drums). Airbourne create hard rock songs very catchy, fast and effective, influenced by AC / DC. The group creates also an incredible energy, both in their videos and in concerts, and this energy comes to be felt throughout the room, no matter the size. For many, Airbourne is the new AC / DC of this generation, but for me, they're most than. Airbourne is surely a future legendary band, I'm sure about it.

Lordi

Lordi is undoubtedly among my first favorite metal bands. A hard rock music melodic and dynamic, a dark fantasy world with impressive and beautiful monsters.

I discovered Lordi, not through one of their songs, but thanks to the movie Dark Floors, directed by Pete Riski, a friend of Mr. Lordi.

My favorite members of the band are Awa and Hella, from the first time I saw them. For now, I saw Lordi three times in live, and I'll still continue of course!                       

Halestorm

A group that I know since only last year, but I became extremely fan. A rock and dynamic Hard Rock music, a powerful instrumental and most importantly, a beautiful singer, Lzzy Hale, with a beautiful voice, and became one of my music crushes now. I love you Halestorm!!!

KISS

KISS, one of the most iconic rock bands of recent years. A very catchy and rock music we like, beautiful costumes and a staging impressive, and also a really great career, and that hopefully will continue much longer. Yes, KISS is all this, and I love that. If you search the best of the rock, listen KISS.

Gwar

Gwar, or the most crazier group of all the United States. Thrash music, with blood, insults, monster costumes, and lots of staging. Gwar mixture the violence and the fun, which is rather original. Many people consider that Gwar is not a real band, but for me, those people are wrong.

Slipknot

Be careful, here the psychopaths masked from Slipknot. A truly dynamic group, a very good metal music. Slipknot seems to be sending a message to each of their songs, as to denounce something. Behind their masks, this group likes to make a mess on the stage, while their fans scream of pleasure.

Nightwish

Another Finnish band that i like, Nightwish. A really melodic music, of very beautiful songs that take you into another world. The song Nemo (my favorite), I was really speechless so I was fascinated.

I've saw Lordi, now, i must see Nightwish.

Stupeflip

After the craziest group of the United States, the craziest group of France. Stupeflip mixes rap, rock, and pop, with tremendous efficiency. Of words completely weird, of and funny stagings and of really strange but charismatic characters. Stupeflip has his universe, his rules, and his own religion, the Stup Religion.

I'm really proud that there is a group like Stupeflip in France.

Daft Punk

Daft Punk, the french band who has revolutionized techno music. A really catchy music, millions of albums sold worldwide and is already a great career, which is far from over.

Daft Punk is surely one of the most internationally famous french groups.

Indica

Finnish band that I discovered recently, but I became really a fan. A pop rock melodic and catchy, and a great charm. I'm falling in love with the singer, Johanna Salomaa, who has joined the list of my eviloves. I need to see Indica, at least once in my life.

Ghost

Beware mortals, here is the darkest and most evil group of Sweden: Ghost. A group of Doom metal with dark and melodic songs in a very evil world. A group composed of Nameless Ghouls, themselves led by Papa Emeritus II. Ghost have many problems with the people of the religious world, who see them as Satanists. But however, the popularity of Ghost is growing and I hope to see them one day.

AC/DC

Ah for me, AC/DC should be included in this list. Just because it's great and legendary group, and also because it has been the first group, with Motorhead, to make me love metal music. I entered in the world of metal in 2008, partly thanks to AC/DC, and has remained one of my favorite bands ever since.

Nemesea

If I have to describe in one word, Nemesea is: beautiful! I discovered this Dutch band, and I fell in love with their Symphonic/Gothic music. And I also fell in love with the singer, Manda Ophuis, who became my ninth evilove. And I really love their song "stay with me".

Cadaveria

Italian Horror Metal band, Cadaveria returns a very dark and metal music, with terrifying words in sets and an equally terrifying and dark atmosphere. One could imagine the singer of the group like small and fragile, but she can sing with a serious and powerful voice that will make men shudder with fear. Moreover, her charm and her talent for singing make her the perfect demoness, with her demons, for scare the humans. 

Toybloïd

French group I have known for only a few months, but I became a fan. A dynamic rock music with good lyrics (sung in English). I've seen Toybloïd in concert, and it was truly memorable. I like all members of the group, but especially the bassist, Mado (middle of the picture), she has succeeded in seducing me with her charm, her kindness and also her style to play bass, I loved. I saw the band several times in live, and never tired to see them. I even met them, they're really nice. :)

ZZ Top

Legendary group, one of the pioneers of the rock music: the only and unique ZZ Top. Group formed in 1969, ZZ Top has conquered the rock world with his blues/rock southern. Even today, the group continues to fill concert halls and at full strength.

Crucified Barbara

If you are looking for a female version of Motorhead, look no further, you've found it. Crucified Barbara, Swedish group of Heavy/Thrash Metal, combines beauty and power, with songs with rock and very aggressive. The group is composed of women only (all lovely, especially Mia Coldheart, the singer).

Lyriel

German group of Gothic/Folk Metal founded in 2003, Lyriel is a group not yet well known but which for me has a very promising future. The band mixes metal music and classical music with high efficiency and create beautiful and very melodic songs, not to mention the gorgeous singer, Jessica Thierjung, which has an angelic voice. Yeah, Lyriel is all this, and it's great!

Frantic Amber

Swedish Melodic Death Metal band founded in 2008, Frantic Amber is straight out of a scary dream. The group is composed of very pretty girls dressed in leather and with trends for blood and darkness. The lead singer, Elizabeth Andrews, has an angelic face but sings with a powerful and terrifying voice that we can not imagine when we do not yet heard.

Orden Ogan

German Power Metal band, founded in 1996, Orden Ogan tells stories in each of their songs, and manage to create powerful and epic songs that makes you want to sing with all your strengths with the group. I have discovered them since a few months and already, they are in the list of my favorite bands of Power Metal.

Dirge

French Sludge / Doom Metal band, formed in 1994. Dirge is a pretty special group because their music is rather slow, melodic, with a very dark atmosphere and sometimes sinister, with serious and sometimes quieter songs. The group seems very popular abroad, especially in Germany and Poland, where they have already made several concerts. I'm proud that this group is French. I had the chance to see Dirge in live, in a small rock festival, and they are really talented. They should be more known, they deserve it.

Shaka Ponk

Founded in 2004, probably the craziest and dynamics French group that has ever existed. A unique and quirky style, powerful mix of electro and rock. This is what best describes Shaka Ponk. Their video clips are as crazy as their songs, with lyrics mixed between English and Spanish. The group has experienced a very difficult start, but now they are one of the icons of music in France and are requested everywhere.

Dirty Passion

Swedish band that I discovered this year. Dirty Passion has a very rock n roll style that I love, a style that I call "original but effective." I've seen them in live this year, as opening act for another group of which I am very fan. I was impressed by their performance, and I was able to meet them after the show and take a picture with them. They are really nice guys. For all fans of rock, it's a group that I highly recommend.

Armonight

Italian Gothic Metal band that I discovered, and I fell in love with their music in one day. For now I do not know much about this group, but I'm already fan and I feel I'm going to love them more and more as the days. The singer of the group, her stage name is Sy, and she has a very interesting and melodic voice.

Dimmu Borgir

Norwegian Black Metal band founded in 1993, many fans consider Dimmu Borgir as the reference of Black Metal in the world, and I have to say that I understand them. This is one of the best in this genre, or even the best. Ghoulish makeup and costumes, claims and melodic songs about fatal and satanic themes with organ and choirs. Dimmu Borgir looks like a group of demons came from hell. If you love death, darkness and hell, you will love Dimmu Borgir! 

Red Fang

Stoner Rock American group founded in 2005, Red Fang has a style rather "old school" and "classic". Most of their video clips are crazy in a world or everything seems possible. Red Fang are great lovers of beer, because in each of their clips, the group drinks beer cans. They maintain a fairly cliché image of what most people think of the rockers, but that's what's fun.

Nirvana

"Come as you are, as you were...." This song can only mean one thing: the only and one: Nirvana! This band has revolutionized the world of rock and became one of the models for generations. Nirvana was one of the groups that made me love the rock and metal music, with Motörhead and AC / DC. Kurt Cobain has become one of my first idols, even still today, I revere this man as a god. Nirvana has released three albums and have not lasted more than ten years, but it is one of the most legendary bands in the world of music. If you like rock but you do not like Nirvana, is that you have not understood.

Terra Tenebrosa

Experimental Black Metal band, founded in 2009, Sweden. Surely one of the most terrifying groups I know. With very realistic costumes and masks, and distorted music, inhuman vocals, dark and violent, this group seems coming from our worst nightmares to haunt us with clips looking like videos from Deep Web. The demons of Terra Tenebrosa will delight fans of Horror and Black Metal. Their songs are full of strange and strident noises, distorted screams and evil laughs. Yes, this group is not human but I like that.

Babymetal

Japanese group founded in 2010. This group is rather special because the official members are three teenage girls, one older than the other two. Suzuka (in the middle), is 17 years old, while Moa and Yui have 16 years old. Their music mixes the J-Pop to the Death Metal, with choreographies and dances in a supernatural world very strange and quite dark populated by strange creatures. Babymetal is recent but their popularity to rise very quickly and continues again. The group has played with legendary bands like Slipknot, Metallica or KISS. Babymetal managed to seduce me and became my favorite Japanese band now. They don't come often in France, but if they come back one day, I hope to have the chance to see them, in a room or festival.

Arch Enemy

Swedish melodic Death Metal band, founded in 1995, with already 10 albums to their credit. For me, Arch Enemy became one of the symbols of the Death Metal and they are one of the best bands of the genre. The band has a new singer, Alissa White-Gluz, which has a very strong charisma and a very powerful voice. I fell in love with this group, and also with Alissa, who joined the list of my musical crushes. Long live Arch Enemy!

Undobar

French group founded in 2009 that I discovered recently. Their music is a mix of blues / stoner rock with a slow pace, in a rather melancholy and very dark universe. The duo has already three albums to their credit, their popularity rises slowly, but surely. For me, if they continue like this, Undobar is promised to a very promising future. I saw them in live, and I met them. They're really talented and really nice guys.

Ensiferum

Finnish Viking Metal band, founded in 1995. I like the Vikings, I like the metal, even a perfect group for me. Ensiferum mix culture and Nordic fantasy to metal music, giving the songs at once powerful and really epic, which really reminds me of the medieval / fantasy world that I love.

Jimi Hendrix

Yeah, the one and only Jimi Hendrix. Thanks to my father, I discovered this great and legendary artist. Hendrix is one of those that revolutionized rock and music in general, with his unique guitar riffs and all his discography. This guy was born to make music, he was a genius, he had a talent, a damn good talent. One of the best rockers of all time.

Akentra

French Metal band founded in 2006. Another group that I'm proud they are of my country. Making beautiful songs with a melodic and catchy music, the band quickly conquered my heart of metalhead. I like all the members of the group, especially Lucia, the singer of the group). I never tired of seeing them in live and it's with great pleasure that I add them to my list. :)

Wilson

They are from Detroit, Michigan ..... They Rock ..... They put a crazy atmosphere everywhere they go...... They are: Wilson. A very talented group that I discovered last year and I have already seen twice in live. For me, Wilson is among the very talented groups that deserve to be better known for what they do. A big Rock sound, that makes you want to go on the road on a motorcycle with other bikers, while drinking beer, and listening to Rock N Roll. And a big thank you to Wilson for my selfie with them. Great memory. :)

Metallica

Obviously I should add this group since long on my list. Sometimes I don't understand myself even. Formed in 1981, I no longer need to present this group because everyone now know them: Metallica, the only and one. Considered as one of the Big Four of Thrash Metal, Metallica now has a legendary reputation, the same level as other bands like Motörhead, Kiss or AC / DC. I considers James Hetfield as one of the best metal singers to date, and Lars Ulrich as one of the best drummers. The song Nothing Else Matters marked me a lot and it's with this one that I discovered the band. 

Arkona

Russian band founded in 2002, Arkona is a group of Pagan Metal. Their songs often speak of Russian folklore and Slavic mythology. Their music is a mixture of metal and folk instruments, and the result is really beautiful. With their songs, they really take us into a fantasy world filled with legends. I am a big fan of metal and medieval / fantasy, this group is for me. Moreover, the costumes of the group are really beautiful, and the woman of the group, Masha Scream, has a wonderful voice. 

The Shady Greys

Duo formed in 2012 in the city of Amsterdam, and composed of the Austrian, Marcus Hayes (on the left), who plays guitar and does vocals, and the French, Catherine Coutoux (on the right), who plays with a cajon, a Peruvian percussion. Their music is a mix of blues and rock, and their songs can be both fast, also slower, but still energetic. I discovered the band in 2016, at a festival, and I immediately liked their style, so much so that I bought their album and I spoke with them after their show, and also made a photo with them. Besides being talented, they are really nice and I hope in the future, see them again as soon as possible.

Trees of Eternity

Group, or rather duo, formed in 2009 in Sweden, because Juha Raivio and Aleah Stanbridge are the only two members considered official. The group's style is based on doom and gothic metal, with very slow, powerful, dark songs that litterally carry the listener into another world, through the angelic voice of Aleah. Unfortunately, the group is struck by a drama in April 2016, because unfortunately Aleah passed away, because of cancer. She was only 39 years old.

Italian symphonic metal band, formed in 2009. 

Black State Highway

English Hard Rock band, formed in 2010.

Thundermother

Swedish Hard Rock, 100% female band, formed in 2010.

Starset

American Progressive / Electronic rock band, formed in 2013. What I like so much about this band is not only their music, but also this sci-fi universe and atmosphere they manage to create in their video-clips or lives videos. Starset is part, for me, of the really talented bands, and who deserve to be really better known.
