Festival les Vieilles Charrues 2014

From July 17 to July 20, I went in Brittany, in the town of Carhaix, to attend the festival Les Vieilles Charrues, the largest music festival in France. I could not take pictures of all the artists at the festival because there were too many, but I'll tell you about the ones I have seen and also of this really interesting experience.

During the four days, we had to camp because the hotels were all full. Fortunately, the festival organizers had planned a camping for those who wanted to sleep close to the festival. I was not against the camping, but the problem was that we were far too many in the camp, it was not monitored, and many people have spend their time drinking and often returned to their tent, completely drunk. To be honest, I was not really quiet to be in my tent and thinking that there were drunks around me. But hey, I'm still here.

First day of the festival, we start with a well-known French singer: Vanessa Paradis. To be honest, I never really listen to, but when I heard it was a revelation to me: the themes of her songs are varied, some are quiet and others are dynamic, Vanessa has completely captivated me during her show, and I became a fan. And I loved her red leather jacket, like rockers. Vanessa, Congratulations for your great show, for have began the festival with a masterly manner. You have conquered my heart of metalhead.

After Vanessa Paradis, we enter the world of rock, with an English band, The Black Keys. I did not know, well I can tell you now, I want to know more. The atmosphere was already high after the passage of Vanessa, well the Black Keys have managed to maintain this great atmosphere with their rock and roll songs. Good job guys!

Another day of the festival, a known French group arrived: Detroit. My sister is a big fan of the group, and she loves the singer, Bertrand Cantat. I never really listened Detroit, but I'm pleasantly surprised by their songs.

And to finish the festival, there was an English rock band famous: Arctic Monkeys. I know the band since a few months, but I still wanted to see them in live. I wanted to see Shaka Ponk, but unfortunately I could not, to my great regret. In short, it was a really great festival, but also super tiring, but it's a good tired.
