DiscoveRock Edition N°13 - Special Legend Tribute - Metallica

Another DiscoveRock for April 2016, but this time a special edition legend, and again, a group that has marked the history of metal and the minds and hearts of millions of fans through the years: Metallica.

Founded in 1981 by the singer and guitarist James Hetfield, and the drummer Lars Ulrich, Metallica is today one of the most popular metal bands in the world, perhaps even the most popular. In any case, it is recognized as the metal band having sold the most albums worldwide: over 100 million albums sold. A record never equaled to this day. Respect. Metallica is one of those intergenerational groups, which mark as the spirits of people who have seen the birth of the group, like the young people who discover them, including myself (I'm born in 1993). The group is well recognized as one of the "Big Four" of the Thrash Metal, although Metallica style leans more towards heavy metal. A year, they even made a concert in San Francisco, with a symphony orchestra, which gave a very surprising result but very beautiful, giving Metallica songs a symphonic metal touch very pleasant to listen. As Motörhead or AC / DC, Metallica is known worldwide and is also known, by reputation, even by people who do not necessarily listen to metal music. Metallica can make quick and very loud songs, as it can also make slower and quieter songs, but just as beautiful, "Nothing Else Matters" remains one of their best success to my eyes. Having played on stage with their idols, especially the late Lemmy Kilmister who inspired them much, Metallica was able to climb the ladder with his music and entered into legend. A group that I recommend very strongly, even mandatory, for any new metal fan.

Members:
- James Hetfield (vocals and rythm guitars)
- Lars Ulrich (drums)
- Kirk Hammett (lead guitars)
