Babymetal: Birth of the "Kawaii" Metal?

Thanks to one of my friends, whom I thank her, I discovered a rather special and unique group of its kind, and has become a real phenomenon on the internet as much as on stage: the Japanese band of the moment, Babymetal. I dedicate them this small article on my blog to give my opinion about the group and their music.

And by the way, yeah I'm a fan of Babymetal, I considers it as a metal band, and I don't give a fucking fuck about the opinions of the pursists and other trolls who hate them. If you're here just to express your anger, you're not welcome here, so go away.

BABYMETAL \m/

The main members of the group are three teenage girls: Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, 17 years old), YuiMetal (Yui Mizuno, 16 years old) and MoaMetal (Moa Kikuchi, 16 years old). They sing and dance all three on stage, doing choreography on music mixing J-Pop and Metal music.
With the mix of style, they created a new style of their own: Kawaii Metal. The band was formed in 2010 and has already achieved worldwide reputation level, including through their clips posted on the Internet, which create a real buzz. In response, the group finally gave concerts on stage in Japan and abroad, and also the successful was at the appointment and Babymetal managed to huge get an audience in Europe and the United States. The group even made the opening act of Lady Gaga and have met legendary bands like Metallica, Slipknot or KISS, to name a few.

To be honest, I do not listen to J-pop, but I'm metalhead and at first I was quite surprised by what I heard and then little by little, I listened more and more and finally, I liked Babymetal. I find it fun and cool concept, even if it's not the kind of metal band I usually listen, I love the style of Babymetal. I also love their a little fantasy world, both dark and bright, populated by strange creatures. Babymetal is not just a band, it's a whole universe, led by three little warrior girls embarked to conquer the metal world. Even if people criticize, ok it's their right to not like. But Babymetal have merit and musical values as any other group. The group make dream many children, and I find it really cool. But There are no age to love a band like that. If I have children one day I would make them discover the metal, and among the groups, I would make them discover Babymetal.
Well, that was my little personal opinion on the group, and if the success was on the side of Babymetal, I'm happy for them and I hope they will continue like this. I wish them good luck. :)
BE METAL! \m/
