Villain of the Month - Edition N°3

Hi humans, and welcome for this new edition of "The Villain of the Month."

For the month of Halloween, it is normal that I take you to the world of horror, because for this edition, the villain is a legend and his mask has become a symbol of the horror: The immortal and merciless killer: Jason Voorhees.

To know Jason, you should know first and foremost he was human before. Born with a very advanced facial malformation, he suffered and has been rejected during all his childhood. He was the scapegoat for other children, and one day, his mother, Pamela Voorhees, go to the Crystal Lake camp, and she took Jason with him. But one day, Jason fell into the lake, and can not swim, eventually drowning, while the monitors who were expected to monitor him were not doing their work, preferring to indulge in sexual fantasies. Pamela Voorhees then went into a murderous frenzy and killed all monitors, for revenge, but she was killed in turn by the only survivor of the massacre, decapitated by a machete. However, Jason wasn't really dead. He survived his near-drowning and grew up in the madness in the middle of the forest by feeding on dead animals. Thus, hidden behind trees, Jason, still child, witnessed the death of his mother. Following this, the camp was closed down.
It was then, that a monster was born. Using a machete, the gun that killed his mother, Jason began his reign of terror and carnage, killing without pity all who come in Crystal Lake, he now regards as its territory. Jason was no longer human, he had become a monster without mercy.

Over the years, Jason Voorhees became a legend and one of the most beloved fictional killers in the world. His hockey mask became a symbol of the universe of horror movies, so much that he got a film against its biggest rival, another killer as famous as him, Freddy Krueger.
But another highlight is Jason's immortality. He can withstand any form of injury, without feeling any pain, and nothing can stop him when he stalking prey. He can even resist to fire, as it's showing in the movie Freddy vs Jason. Jason also has superhuman strength, as he is able to tear down a door, pull human limbs without any effort .... Jason is strong, but even if he does not speak, don't believe Jason is silly. He is even rather clever, because it knows how to use his environment to surprise its victims and leave them no chance to escape. Jason doesn't always use his machete to kill, he can also use the various sharp objects he finds around him (even a needle) to shred and kill his victims. And when he has no weapons, Jason can even use his own physical strength to kill someone, as strangling.
But even if he has become a heartless monster, I feel really sorry for Jason. He was human, and because of his physical difference, he suffered all his life and ultimately the destiny is still hard on him, and after, a near drowning who did it swung into madness and become a monster. Personally, I think Jason has a kind of justice, in its way, taking his revenge for all the suffering he experienced because of one of the greatest scourge of our world: human cruelty.
Go Jason! Kill them!

For his immortality, his strength, his murders, his legend and his story, Jason Voorhees deserves this special edition and its place in the most iconic villains.

See you next month, for the next edition of "The Villain of the Month"
